I am working on a new mural for a brand new Kroger in Colerain! BLDG (Covington Design and Gallery Co) in partnership with Kroger Company, commissioned a professional artist to create interior artwork for the Kroger store at Cincinnati, OH 45239. The artwork will be prominently displayed inside the store as part of the Kroger Company’s commitment to involving artists in beautifying new stores throughout the nation. The artwork will be expected to celebrate the spirit of the community and the unique identity of the neighborhood and its surroundings. The artist call was open to artists living in the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky region. From the Portfolio, Kroger selected three (3) artists to respond to an RFP and prepare a concept proposal. Incredibly enough, I was chosen as one of the artists and received the final commission to finish the project. This was pretty wonderful knowing that there are so many talented artists that applied and shared their illustrations.
I have a little over a month to finish this huge painting! I'll document this as I go along...and share some photos along the way.
